Well-Being Waters World, Rotorua, New Zealand

Swiss–based company Eurothermes opened a subsidiary in New Zealand to develop a chain of five luxury spa resorts, modelled on their successful European operations.

Jerry Hewitt was commissioned to adapt the concept to suit the local market, and design the developments once suitable properties were acquired.

The resort concept included a number of spa pools, both internal and external, housed in a series of themed pavilions reflecting the spa relevant experience: Turkish bath, Norwegian sauna/spa, Russian Ice bath, Polynesian hot-pool, etc.

Each resort included a restaurant, wellness centre, and therapy suites, as well a 5-star boutique hotel with 80 rooms.
